Apostasía, según la definición del Diccionario de la Real Academia Española, es la negación, renuncia o abjuración a la fe en una religión, así como la salida o abandono irregular de una orden religiosa o sacerdotal

También puede hacer referencia al clérigo que prescinde usualmente de su condición, incumpliendo así sus obligaciones clericales . Y, de modo más general, abandonar un partido para entrar en otro, o cambiar de opinión o doctrina.

En este sentido observamos una línea general de significado en todas las acepciones. Frente a la herejía, la apostasía supone un abandono o negación total de la doctrina original. Es decir, en lugar de negar un dogma o idea determinada se niega la doctrina completa. Por otro lado, mientras que el apóstata o el hereje niegan o modifican la doctrina, el pagano es aquel que nunca ha pertenecido formalmente a dicho conjunto doctrinal o a las instituciones que lo representan.

Hoy en día, la apostasía se reclama como derecho a constar como apóstata, o al menos a eliminar todo registro de pertenencia a un determinado grupo de creyentes y dejar de ser contado, a los efectos pertinentes, como miembro del grupo, sobre todo en aquellos casos en que la adscripción se produjo sin contar con la opinión del sujeto.

    Hola, el derecho a cambiar de religión o no tener nunguna es un Derecho Humano, y por lo tanto está protegido en casi todos los países "civilizados".

    Debes enviar una carta (con copia firmada por ellos, carta certificada o similar) anunciando tu voluntad de abandonar la religión y solicitar la baja de tus registros. En Argentina es posible gracias a la ley de Proteccion de Datos Personales, aunque no estoy segura de como funciona exactamente en otros paises.

    Si no te hacen caso, existe seguramente la opción de denunciarlos...
